About Smile Colors
At The Nixon Institute we believe that teaching children the gospel of Christ is not only important, it is a responsibility. Something so special should be shared with all children, but not all children learn the same or have the motivation to learn. While some kids are natural scholars and instantly take an interest in reading and memorizing facts, others enjoy exploring their natural world around them and connecting to the things and people in their environment. We created Smile Colors, a unique bible educational program, to help make learning about Jesus Christ fun for all children regardless of their background. The program incorporates both textbook curriculum as well as community activities to engage all learning types. We offer small incentives to students who complete their activities and put in that extra effort to learn. While children are initially motivated to complete assignments for the rewards, they are simultaneously receiving the greatest reward one can achieve, a relationship with Jesus Christ our Lord.

Knowing Jesus
The lessons and assignments at Smile Colors were created with a special attention to the biblical gospel that Jesus Christ taught. Our curriculum does not lean towards any particular denomination of studies, but instead encourages exploring the points and questions where denominations split. We have scholars from a variety of backgrounds that contribute to the weekly content. We use fun and great resources like The Bible Project, The Crossroads Kids Club, and more. We also collaborate with local authors and illustrators for great learning material relevant to today's culture. Our courses do not shy away from difficult topics, but instead tackle it from a biblical perspective. We explore God in science, God in money, and God in relationships. We encourage kids to talk to God, and ask Him the tough questions early on.
Through Smile Colors, your kids are not only learning about faith, they are honing in on their reading comprehension, writing, creative, and YES, even mathematical skills. Outside of educational development, students also practice their communication and teamwork skills, and have several opportunities to volunteer and serve their community.
